Strategy of the Electronic Computer Center
The vision of the Electronic Computer Center is to be an essential pillar for establishing an advanced electronic infrastructure in the University of Diyala. It also aims to establish electronic administration systems and perform its role as a service center that seeks to provide innovative services in the field of information and communications technology in order to achieve the needs of the university and society.
The mission of the Electronic Computer Center is to offer everything new in the field of information technology and to train and develop skills for all university members. It aims to provide equipment and programs, implement network projects, and deliver distinguished solutions.
The task of the Electronic Computer Center (ECC) is to document and update the scientific archive at the university according to a precise scientific system based on tabulations and classifications for all the university’s activities, educational and scientific centres, faculty and professional members, the approved curriculum, and present and future plans.
Goals of the Electronic Computer Center
- Developing and qualifying engineering and scientific staff in the field of computers and information technologies.
- Establishing and implementing electronic systems, training candidates on their use, and following up on their development.
- Providing technical consultations in the software industry, databases, website design, and e-government systems.
- Installing wired and wireless computer networks and providing technical consultations.
- Participation in committees, seminars, and workshops related to technology to learn about the development of information technology.
- Preparing an annual training curriculum that meets the needs of the university and preparing special courses for human resources development.
- Granting International Computer Driving Licences. Preparing laboratories and halls with necessary requirements, including modern computers and advanced software.
- Developing the centre and distributing tasks and duties among the units.
