Government Contracts Unit
The Government Contracts unit established at the University of Diyala in 2009 according to the instructions of the Ministry of Planning and Development Cooperation and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. According to the decision of the Council of Ministers No. 12/166 on 7/2/2008, and the mission at the university for its leading role and great in the field of government contracts for tenders and auctions, especially in the field of projects of the investment and for the field of sales, rent, and different contracts. The unit aims to play role entrusted to them in the areas of contracting with each form and the quest to development in order to overcome the existing obstacles to achieve the principle of transparency and integrity of the work. As well as, it implements all the laws and the regulations in the work of government contracts unit that administratively linked to the university president and technically in the department of ages and projects of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. According to the letter of the Ministry of Higher Education Research Scientific Committee No. 7/738 of 3/2/2014, which stipulates that the administration of the government contracts unit is exclusively legal. Currently, the unit managed from the legal consultant, Raed Hussein Alwan. The department includes a number of specialized staff legal, engineering, technical and administrative.
