
University President Inaugurates Key Infrastructure Projects at the College of Basic Education.
On Thursday, April 17, 2025, Professor Tahseen Hussein Mubarak, President of Diyala University, inaugurated a series of major construction projects at the College of Basic Education. These projects are part of the university’s ongoing efforts to enhance infrastructure and create a learning environment aligned with modern quality standards for both students and faculty.
The newly inaugurated projects include the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences building, the main college gate, the external perimeter fence, and Dr. Hassan Mahaoush Hall. Speaking during the inauguration, Professor Mubarak stated that these developments mark a significant milestone in the university’s urban expansion. “These projects are a testament to our commitment to progress and excellence,” he noted. “Despite financial constraints, the university has succeeded in implementing numerous urban and developmental initiatives that contribute to our strategic goal of building a sustainable and high-quality educational environment.”
Professor Mubarak also commended the efforts of the former Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Abdul Rahman Nasser Rashid, for his pivotal role in advancing both the academic and infrastructural standing of the College during his tenure. In turn, the current Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Ayman Abd Aoun Nazzal, extended his gratitude to the University President for his unwavering support. He emphasized that the newly completed projects represent a qualitative leap in infrastructure development and will significantly enhance the educational and research outcomes at the College.
