On Sunday, April 13, 2025, Professor Amer Mohamed Ibrahim, Vice President for Scientific Affairs, convened a meeting with members of the Chemical, Biological, and Radiological Safety and Security Committee to officially launch the Safety and Security Program across university colleges.
During the meeting, Professor Amer Mohamed Ibrahim emphasized that the program aims to establish clear standards and protocols to ensure the safe and secure handling of chemical, biological, and radioactive materials on campus. The initiative is designed to safeguard individuals, the broader community, and the environment. The program also includes the development of evaluation models for laboratories, with the objective of transforming them into exemplary facilities. Furthermore, it seeks to enhance the role of media and awareness through the organization of workshops and the strategic placement of educational posters within laboratories to promote a culture of safety and responsibility.
