University President Meets with the Special Committee for International Rankings

On Monday, March 10, 2025, Professor Tahseen Hussein Mubarak, President of University of Diyala, held a  meeting with members of the Special Committee for World Rankings to discuss the preparations for the British Times World University Rankings.

During the meeting, the University President emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to improve the University’s position among its global counterparts, ensuring its sustained presence in these prestigious rankings. He highlighted the need to maintain a strong focus on publishing in reputable international journals as a means to secure entry into new rankings and achieve sustainable development goals. To this end, he directed the implementation of several initiatives aimed at enhancing the University’s standing in international rankings.

His Excellency also listened to the proposals put forward by the members of the Special Committee for International Ranking, including Dr. Khaled Ghadhban Muhammad, Head of the International Ranking Unit at the University, Dr. Qahtan Muhammad Yas, Dr. Omar Hussein Ali, and Dr. Alaa Hassan Fahmy. The discussion particularly focused on strategies to strengthen the role of scientific publishing units within the University’s colleges.
