The University President meets with members of the Rankings Committee.

On Tuesday, January 21, 2025, the President of the University of Diyala convened with the members of the Rankings Committee to discuss a series of strategic proposals aimed at enhancing the university’s standing in global rankings. The President underscored the importance of sustaining efforts to improve the university’s position among its peers, preserving its reputation in international rankings, and maintaining the momentum of publishing in reputable global journals to facilitate entry into new rankings and achieve sustainable development goals.

The President carefully reviewed the proposals presented by the Ranking Committee members, which focused on key initiatives such as strengthening the scientific publishing units within the university’s colleges, fostering collaborative research opportunities with international scholars, advising researchers to avoid predatory journals, supporting those who publish in well-regarded journals, aligning with the seventeen sustainable development goals, and securing a place in global rankings.
