The University of Diyala has been ranked 6th in the 2025 Transparency Ranking, with a total of 61,543 citations for scientific research indexed within the Scopus databases.
The President of the University expressed his congratulations to both the faculty and staff for this remarkable achievement, emphasizing that the success is the result of the collective efforts of the administrative team in organizing and supporting the university’s research initiatives.
Assistant Professor Khaled Ghadhban, Head of the International Ranking Unit at the University, explained that this ranking is based on the number of citations for research and the cumulative total of research indexed in the Scopus databases. He further clarified that the ranking methodology ensures the reliability of these citations and does not include self-citations by researchers.
