The University President attends the Iraqi- Iranian Science Week organized by Al-Zahra University in Karbala Governorate.
The President of University of Diyala, Prof Tahseen Hussein Mubarak, and the accompanying delegation attended the Iraqi-Iranian Science Week organized by Al-Zahraa University in Karbala Governorate.
The event aims to enhance scientific, academic, and technological relations; it will bring together representatives from over 60 of the best universities in the two countries. The week will serve as a platform for sharing expertise, showcasing modern sci-tech achievements, and setting the stage for new partnerships in various technical fields.
The President of the University emphasized that the Iraqi-Iranian Science Week is a continuation of the initiatives launched during their visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran last year. The visit served to review and discuss the progress made in the agreements established. He highlighted that the University of Diyala is a leader in fostering international academic collaboration, having signed memoranda of understanding with eleven universities in Iran. The President further noted the university’s notable advancements in scientific achievements, particularly in the areas of research cooperation, seminars, electronic workshops, and thesis projects. Additionally, the university has established twinning partnerships with select Iranian institutions, chosen based on strong academic criteria.
Iraqi Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Naeem Al-Aboudi, in a meeting with Science, Research, and Technology Minister, Hossein Simaei-Sarraf, has announced Iraq’s interest in benefiting from Iran’s experience and knowledge in establishing science and technology parks.
