University of Diyala Achieved the Ranking of “The 26th Most Sustainable University in Iraq” in 2024.
The University of Diyala has been ranked in the Indonesian Sustainable Development Ranking (UlGREEN2024), securing the 735th position globally out of 1,477 institutions. Additionally, it ranked 26th among 81 Iraqi universities that participated in the 2024 edition. The President of the University of Diyala, Professor Tahseen Hussein Mubarak, commended the efforts of the teaching and administrative staff in elevating the university to the highest levels of excellence, both locally, regionally, and internationally.
Dr. Khaled Ghadhban, Head of the Ranking Unit at the University of Diyala, explained that the Indonesian Sustainable Development Ranking is based on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. These include the promotion of renewable energy, research advancements in this field, reducing paper usage, implementing electronic governance practices, minimizing water waste, and treating slightly polluted water for reuse in agricultural and industrial sectors.
