International Conference of the College of Islamic Sciences
On Tuesday, February 27, 2024, the College of Islamic Sciences, University of Diyala, held the third international scientific conference in association with the National Security Council and the University of Hazrate Masoumeh (peace be upon her) in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The President of the University of Diyala, Professor Tahseen Hussein Mubarak, said Islamic science is an integrated system. Its essence is based on the teachings of Islam. Its fundamental pillars are derived from the Holy Qur’an and the Noble Prophet’s Sunnah. Professor Tahseen Hussein Mubarak pointed out the importance of researchers addressing its approach and issues in their studies to shed light on the comprehensive view of Islam as a comprehensive method to all aspects of life.
Professor Omar Abdullah, the Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences, said that the purpose of organizing the conference is to disseminate the humanitarian message adopted by the University of Diyala. Researchers from countries such as Jordan, the Emirates, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Morocco, Syria, Algeria, Libya, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Malaysia participated with more than 142 papers. The topics of all the selected papers are most relevant to societal developments.
The President of the University of Hazrate Masoumeh expressed her gladness in this scientific collaboration with the University of Diyala. She said that this conference is held to address issues concerning Islamic societies, noting the importance of such activities in highlighting the role of the Islamic faith in promoting societal peace.
