The University Council holds the sixth regular council meeting

On Tuesday, 20 February 2024, the Diyala University Council held the sixth meeting to discuss several issues on the agenda.

The meeting was chaired by the President of the University of Diyala, Professor Tahseen Hussein Mubarak. The President of the University of Diyala focuses on completing qualitative research that discusses societal issues and supports education strategies.

He urged the faculty members to choose exciting research topics and complete them within a specified time to ensure that their efforts are not wasted and to ensure reliable results. Professor Tahseen Hussein Mubarak called on the deans of colleges to consider the need for governmental institutions for specializations in undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

The President of the University asked to honour the departments that achieved a noticeable rank in the Iraqi National Ranking announced by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and to review the department’s programs that did not get a good rank in the mentioned ranking.

The Council approved the research plan for the academic year 2023-2024 and called the researchers to publish their papers in journals with global indexing, supporting and honouring them.

Finally, a number of issues and a set of decisions related to the educational and administrative process were discussed and taken in the meeting.
