The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research honored researchers from the University of Diyala

Two researchers ( Associated Professor Saad Shawkat and Associated Professor Qusay Tawfiq) from the College of Engineering, the University of Diyala, were honored by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research with an award from Al Ain University.

This came during the honoring of one hundred award winners with high-impact research papers and books and honoring the universities that achieved a positive indicator in scientific publishing, including the University of Diyala.

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research emphasized the importance of scientific research in solving development problems. Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi pointed out that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has set a strategic goal for its institutions related to the academic environment, publishing in reputed journals, and global partnerships with international libraries and publishing houses. He also mentioned the significance of adopting a successful policy and decisions to stimulate scientific research through financial support and establishing central scientific laboratories.

The Dean of the College of Engineering, Professor Anis Abdullah Kazem, stated that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is keen to motivate researchers and encourage scientific research publication that impacts global paths. Professor Anis Abdullah Kazem handed over the shield, which was awarded to the University of Diyala due to its notable role in international publishing, to the university’s president.
