The University Council holds the fifth session and emphasises the importance of activating extracurricular activities and meaningful social events.

On Monday, 1/8/2024, the University Council of the University of Diyala held the fifth session to discuss several issues on the agenda.

The President of the University of Diyala, Professor Tahseen Hussein Mubarak chaired the session. He discusses the issues regarding selecting qualified people who have professionalism, transparency, and cooperation when assigning tasks to them. Professor Tahseen Hussein Mubarak referred to the significance of reviewing the annual performance and evaluation to improve the scientific and administrative conditions.

The Council discussed the mechanism of participating the postgraduate students in workshops and courses based on the guidance of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The Council also directed postgraduate students to know the importance of participating in workshops and courses, as it is one of the requirements for approving the date of the viva voce.

Moreover, The Council indicated the necessity of adhering to guidance, instructions, and specific timings regarding requests for students to shift their study from evening study to morning.

The Council directed the Finance sections to complete financial benefits of the teaching, and non-teaching staff and financial scholarships to students.

On the other hand, The Council referred to the importance of adopting the scientific expertise system in the colleges that have postgraduate programs when sending dissertations and theses to the experts for evaluation.

The Council discussed many scientific and administrative issues and a set of decisions have been taken based on the instructions and granted authority.
