The University of Diyala continues to perform the terms of the memorandums of understanding with Iranian universities.
As part of performing the terms of the memorandums of understanding signed by Iraqi universities with Iranian universities, a virtual meeting was held between the University of Diyala and the Research Institute of Food Sciences and Technology on Sunday, 1/7/2024.
Professor Tahseen Hussein Mubarak, The President of the University of Diyala, stated, “ We are happy to see the results of the memorandums of understanding signed with Iranian universities enter into force.
After the delegation’s visit from The University of Lady Ma’suma (PBUH) to the University of Diyala, today we are discussing new horizons of cooperation at the level of organizing events, exchanging experiences, scientific research, and supervising postgraduate students, providing scholarships within the “Study in Iraq” initiative launched by Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
Professor Tahseen Hussein Mubarak presented several proposals. The most important is the proposal to organise a joint international conference on food industries and the possibility of conducting collaborative research in this field.
Dr. Muhammad Ali Radwi, the head of the Research Institute of Food Sciences and Technology, welcomed this communication by the University of Diyala to implement the terms of the memorandum of understanding. He has emphasized the institute’s keenness to hold joint activities and receive students and researchers in the field of food sciences. He talked about the institute’s readiness to partner with the University of Diyala in establishing an institute for food industries and the possibility of cooperating to establish an advanced laboratory in the mentioned field.
The meeting was attended by different participants from the University of Diyala: the vice President for Scientific Affairs, Professor Amer Muhammad Ibrahim, the dean of the faculty of medicine, agriculture, and pure sciences, the director of the Electronic Computer Center, the head of the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations, and many teaching staff and researchers.
The meeting resulted in organising joint committees and research teams that do what was agreed upon and set dates for exchanging visits.
