The Minister of Higher Education Meets Diyala University Council and Confirms: “Your Insistence on Success is A Promising Future Path”.
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Nabil Kazem Abdul Sahib, met on Sunday, the 8th of August 2021 Diyala University Council to discuss several issues that are related to the educational process development.
His Excellency stressed that in difficult circumstances, the determination to succeed was a promising future and road that would complement the requirements of the academic year. He pointed out that the plans and objectives of the Ministry of Higher Education and its configurations were proceeding on a timely and deliberate basis. He pointed out the need to continue with qualitative scientific research that serves society and promotes the place of universities in global classifications.
His Excellency also explained that the Ministry of Higher Education supports the creation of new faculties according to the university's specific needs and the non-simulation of existing disciplines, noting the importance of developing the faculty of Nursing at the University of Diyala to integrate with the Faculty of Medicine.
As for the rights of teachers and employees, his Excellency said: The Ministry strongly supports their demands for housing plots. It was explained that a talk had been made with Mr. Governor on the consideration of these demands and that it had been agreed that such land should be set aside in places suitable for university status.
For his part, the President of Diyala University, Professor Dr. Abdul Monim Abbas Kerim, explained to His Excellency the Minister: The University and its formations appreciate and recognize the efforts made by His Excellency and the Ministry's advanced cadre to support the progress of the University through their daily follow-up of the educational process. Emphasizing the university's desire and formations to achieve the vision and objectives of the Ministry of Education and to advance the achievement of appropriate climates of achievement and creativity. Finally, His Excellency has heard the needs and proposals of the members of the Council for the development of their institutions in such a way as to improve the quality of those institutions' output.
