A Virtual Panel Discussion at the College of Engineering about the Arabic City Identity and the Challenges of the Rapid Urban Transformation.
Diyala University Faculty of Engineering held a virtual panel discussion concerning the identity of the Arab city and the challenges of rapid urban transformation. The discussion directed by M. Nabil Mohamed Saleh via the google meet platform aimed at explaining the Arabic city foundation and the factors which shaped its urban fabric. It also included an explanation of the changes in shape and concept which occurred to the Arabic city as a result of the economic, political, social, and cultural changes after the Second World War and the vast economic wealth which created modern cities in a short time, unprecedented in history from one side, and the weakness and erosion of other States as a result of political and economic changes and civil and regional wars from the other side.
