The College of Science Holds an Online Webinar Which Deals with Oil Ingredient Deposition Environments

The Geology of Oil and Metals Department at The College of Sciences and Through Google Meet platform held an online webinar entitled (Oil Ingredient Deposition Environments). The lecturers of the webinar: Assistant Professors Dr. Salah Ali Hussein and Dr. Abd-alraza Mohamed Sahab, presented an introduction and a definitions of deposition environments and its sections, they also explained how to deposit sediments in each section and how the Sedimentary changes that accompany environment location changes in comparison to the sea level effect the deposition kind. Furthermore, the lecturers introduced an explanation of the oil geological composition pointing out the most significant ones and their geological age and places of deposition in relation to the environmental divisions.  The webinar also discussed Kirkuk Oil Group, which includes a number of important oil formations.
