University President Meets with Hostels Support Council, Emphasizes Enhanced Student Engagement and Living Conditions.

On Monday, June 16, 2025, the President of the University of Diyala, Prof. Dr. Tahseen Hussein Mubarak, convened a meeting with members of the Hostels Support Council to discuss strategies for improving student accommodations.

The meeting, which was attended by Dr. Zahir Ghanawi, Director of Hostels, focused on evaluating the current state of the university hostels and identifying areas requiring improvement. Prof. Dr. Mubarak emphasized the importance of ensuring the full readiness and functionality of the hostels, as well as the necessity of maintaining a high standard of living conditions for students.

A key directive from the University President was the need for continuous and open communication with students. He stressed the importance of engaging with residents to better understand their concerns and address their needs, thereby fostering a more supportive and responsive residential environment.

During the meeting, council members reviewed a number of proposals aimed at enhancing the hostel environment. Several decisions were made in accordance with institutional regulations and the administrative authority granted to the council, all aimed at improving the overall quality of student life.
