University of Diyala is  ranked 2nd  in the Times Ranking.

As part of its ongoing commitment to academic excellence and scientific advancement, the University of Diyala has achieved a remarkable distinction by ranking second among 18 Iraqi universities in the Times Higher Education Asian University Rankings 2025.

The President of the University, Professor Dr. Tahseen Hussein Mubarak, extended his congratulations to the university community on this significant accomplishment, which reflects the institution’s growing presence in international academic rankings. The university’s placement in the 600+ category underscores its continuous efforts to enhance global competitiveness. Dr. Mubarak also commended the dedicated efforts of the faculty members, researchers, the Global Rankings Committee, and the deans of the various colleges, whose collective contributions have played a vital role in strengthening the university’s academic reputation.

In addition, Dr. Khaled Ghadhban, Head of the Rankings Unit, highlighted that the Times Higher Education Asian University Rankings are based on comprehensive indicators that assess the quality of teaching, the research environment, and the overall impact and quality of research produced by the institution.
