The University President meets with members of ranking committee

On Monday, March 24, 2025, Professor Tahseen Hussein Mubarak, President of the University of Diyala, convened with members of the University’s Ranking Committee to review preparations for the British Times World University Rankings. During the meeting, the University President underscored the critical importance of continued efforts to improve the institution’s position among global peers, maintain its visibility in prestigious rankings, and foster the publication of high-quality research in reputable international journals. These initiatives are vital for securing entry into additional rankings and advancing the University’s progress toward sustainable development goals.

Professor Mubarak directed the implementation of a series of strategic measures aimed at enhancing the University’s standing in international rankings. He also welcomed and carefully considered the proposals presented by members of the Special Committee for International Rankings, including Dr. Khaled Ghadhban Muhammad, Head of the International Ranking Unit; Dr. Qahtan Muhammad Yas; Dr. Omar Hussein Ali; and Dr. Alaa Hassan Fahmy. The discussions primarily focused on strategies to strengthen the role of scientific publishing units within the University’s various academic departments.
