The University of Diyala appears in the Times Higher Education (THE) Ranking. It is ranked third among eighteen Iraqi universities in the Times Higher Education Rankings (World University Rankings by Subject 2025) which is considered a new achievement for the University of Diyala.
Prof. Tahseen Hussein Mubarak, President of the University of Diyala, congratulated the institution on its significant achievement in the British Times ranking, where the university secured third place, alongside several other Iraqi universities, in the overall ranking across all disciplines. He emphasized that this recognition serves as a motivation to continue striving for higher positions that reflect the university’s name and reputation. Prof. Tahseen Mubarak expressed his sincere gratitude to the faculty members and researchers whose dedication and contributions played a vital role in attaining this noteworthy accomplishment, which further enhances the university’s standing both locally and globally. He affirmed that the university will persist in its efforts to elevate its scientific and academic status on the national, regional, and international levels.
Assistant Professor Khaled Ghadhban, Head of the Rankings Unit, provided an explanation regarding the university’s achievements, stating that the university secured notable success in three disciplines. Specifically, Physics ranked second, Computer Science also ranked second, and Engineering achieved a third-place ranking.
